As a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 15, please protect our families in Utah from any restrictions to our first amendment God-given rights to speech and religion. Gender is only determined by birth, thank God!

Freedom of choice for parents, for psychiatrists, even for little children not yet mature enough to make an informed choice must be protected. Freedom of speech for Psychiatrists must also be protected. Bullying them with threats against their licensing is unAmerican at best, totalitarian at worst.

The proposed licensing board ruling is more about political positions than it is about actually desiring to help teens struggling with their sexuality. If we desire to help teens, then allow the teens and their counselors to discuss what seems appropriate to them. Not all counseling that leads a youth desiring to leave the sexual struggles they are having is the feared “conversion therapy.” Handicapping counselors with the threat of losing their license is not only unfair, but it is also detrimental to proper counseling by a therapist who will honor their client’s freely chosen values by restricting what a therapist can discuss.

This bill takes away the rights of teens and therapist that are legitimately trying to help people. it also only gives one approach to therapy, the approach of the LGBT community which is extremely biased or they would not need to try and control therapy. BAD BILL

We must not limit our teens and their councilors from discussing issues that they want to discuss in keeping with their values and beliefs. This is a shot against religious liberty in our country.

Actual conversion therapy is questionable, but other less intrusive therapies are not. Do not allow this language without a more detailed and correct definition of conversion therapy. Talk therapy and other therapies that don't have obvious dangers should be allowed.

There is an old saying that to build the tallest building in town you must either build your own or tear everyone else's down.
By forcing compliance under the threat of losing one's license, how does that lift everyone up? This would be an unequal scale.
Please keep political agendas in the public square and out of the agenda closet. This smells like deceit and ought to be, at a minimum, discussed in public.

"Gender" is a sexist concept that teaches butch girls and femme boys that there's something wrong with them. Kids should be taught they're valuable as they are, for their uniqueness--not that they're a valuable source of income for surgeons and pharmaceutical companies.
