I am a retired family practitioner [MD] and am not a member of AAFP.

I am not a family physician, but I support the petition and hope the AAFP will consider the lives of patients in the womb equally as important as the lives of the mothers and fathers, all of which are precious and intrinsically valuable.

Optimal Health for everyone includes preborn US citizens. This is no different than recognizing the humanity of slaves. Slaves were always people, preborn babies are people.

I sign this petition it as a Family Practitioner but as a physician board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Neonatology. I stand in solidarity with my pro-women and pro-life FP colleagues as one on the front line counseling pregnant women.

I strongly support this petition, and the rights of conscience which it implies. I believe that our academy has been highjacked by those of liberal political leanings, and does NOT represent the mind of the majority of its members in this matter.

Physicians have sworn an oath to care for patients and to DO NO HARM! We must protect the vulnerable unborn and their mothers!

I am an MD. One of my greatest joys as a family physician and the reason I chose this speciality in medicine is caring for the unborn children and their mothers through the prenatal course, delivery, and then caring for the child outside the womb as well. AAFP, our default stance must be to protect all life, including life inside the womb. Do NOT yield to the politics of the day.

I firmly believe in the sanctity of life and oppose abortions as a right of women’s reproductive health.

Care for expectant mothers and their pre-born children is the answer, not promotion and funding of abortion.

I am an AAFP member and PROLIFE. I do not not the AAFP to become a bipartisan organization. We as physicians save lives- take them

If AAFP officially adopts a anti-life political position, they will lose my membership, never going to renew.

MD and AAFP member - I will resign if AAFP takes strong pro-abortion stance

A new human life begins when sperm and egg unite to form a zygote. That is an unquestioned scientific truth. Family physicians should strive to care for ALL members of the family throughout their ENTIRE life.

If AAFP becomes pro abortion, I’ll resign my membership. I’ll give back the ‘degree of fellow’ i.e. I’ll resign from being a fellow of the academy - because I refuse to openly support eliminating life that I vowed to preserve.
