The AAFP should be supportive of life. Going on record as a pro-abortion organization is a profound insult to the AAFP membership.

Physicians, regardless of their specialty, should not endorse abortion. Even the original hippocratic oath included abortion as one of the things that physicians swore NOT to do as it was in direct opposition to "do no harm."

I have been a member since 1994 anf have paid over $20,000.00 in dues. I recently considered discontinuing my membership due to AAFPs recent actions on assisted suicide. After a direct phone call from the current AAFP president I reconsidered and have continued my membership. The current actions by AAFP re abortion is non negotiable for me and I will be leaving AAFP for the remainder of my career unless immediate actions are taken and communicated to all members via a letter of apology by the AAFP board.

After 25 years of membership, the AAFP will lose my support if they actively work against the sanctity of ALL lives.

The field of healthcare is designed to aid human's physical well being with preventative maintenance and correcting/treating injuries or negative prognosis for a healthy body. Abortion is the only "medical procedure" that violently ends a life and thus should not constitute as health care if we're being honest. Abortion is the only (blind) procedure that's goal is to abruptly and violently stop a normal bodily condition by intentionally killing the life of another human being. Because a pregnant body is expected to carry that baby to term, suddenly and violently stopping that condition does not come without risk - breast cancer, depression, PTSD, etc. Women deserve better than physicians who encourage their child's life be treated instead of treating both the mother and her child.

It is not good for patients to be denied physicians who share their life and health principles in order to appease others who don’t. It will not increase access to certain objectionable procedures for the latter but only disenfranchise the former groups of persons from the many more uncontested goods of healthcare.

I don’t want thirty women with abortion. Abortion hurts women and please don’t make me pay to hurt women

Abortion kills a significant number of your patients. What ever happened to do no harm.

I have been an AAFP member since 1982. I teach family medicine residents regularly and this issue is of the highest importance to me.

I am an AAFP member and a residency program director. The AAFP needs to protect a physician's right of conscience and represent all members of the organization.

The AAFP should not follow the terribly inaccurate & misinformed claim that abortion restrictions lead to higher maternal mortality. The AAFP simply need look at D.C. to see the falsity of that claim.
