We the undersigned are concerned that changes to immigration laws introduced by the Government on 9th July 2012 will disproportionately affect the South Asian community in the United Kingdom. The new rules on minimum income threshold and the abolishment of rights to appeal against refused visa applications will unfairly affect the community. This legislation will persecute lower-income families whose relatives will be prevented from travelling to the UK. We call upon the Government to review this unjust legislation that will do nothing to reduce illegal immigration.
