Welcoming new artists to Waxahachie will help enrich the community and provide hands on creative outlets for everyone.

I'm also a local potter, in Waxahachie, there shouldn't be any issues with this.

An artist's creativity needs an outlet, also an out let to provide electricity for the things that help us do healthy artistic work in a space separated from the daily household people's interference.

There are others in the community that have a second building like a garage that is a separate building. If she willing to pay hook up and pay for her studio electricity there is no reason for denying. If you an artist you know you aren’t going to live in it.

Having electricity in a work shed in order for a potter to make pottery- seems a simple thing.

We need a pottery studio! I live 40 min away from Waxahachie, and I would gladly come twice a week for classes.

I've worked for a city and there is no good reason for this rule if certain conditions are met. It's just like piano lessons or tutoring

Ashley's pottery studio would be an asset and a benefit to your community if the city is smart enough to help it happen.

It is ridiculous to prevent an artist from doing their work at home when it could bring a positive influence and image to Waxahachie. Don't know what your problem is.. do you put every new shop owner/business through this???

She deserves to have her own studio. As a fellow artist knowing what it is like to be without. You are robbing her of her work and how she prefers to make her living. We all need art in our lives.

The Arts are succumbing to all kinds of budget restraints in our school systems these days. Why not allow an extremely talented teacher the opportunity to teach this God-given talent to others. Please allow her to open a studio for this purpose.

This shop would certainly benefit your city so I see NO REASON to deny!
