I do not stand for the ability to show a 3/8 Simmental. If we keep going in the same direction we will be no better than the chi association.

This is not acceptable for simmental breeders and should not be acceptable for ASA standards! There is a place for commercial cattle, utilize it!

If one is interested in showing a 3/8 Simmental, there is a commercial or market division. As a Simmental exhibitor, you need to have a Simmental on the other end of that halter. A 3/8 is mainly something other than Simmental. If you think we need to find a place to showcase and market Percentage bulls, may I recommend you use them on other Percentage cows. You still have Cattle 50% or greater that can still show in our current PTP Show structure I ask the ASA Board to reconsider this decision

I strongly recommend keeping things as it is. A true representation of the breed. This is not another crossbred show

Any animal that has less than 50% Simmental Genetics in it's pedigree, should never be allowed to participate in any show sponsored or recognized by ASA.

It’s time we remind the ASA that they are expected to do what’s best for the Simmental breed and not their own bottom line! They are here to serve the breeders and not the other way around. Say no to 3/8!

Allowing 3/8 simmentals to our program will reduce the productivity that simmental cattle are so well known for.
We don't need this happening in our breed period
