Artists work hard everyday to make magic and create art. AI is just stealing hard work from creators who deserves credit.

I do believe that the use of AI can have a place within the artistic process, but it should never replace the artist itself. Art is a beautiful form of communication that we as a species have developed and should continue to pass on to our future generations. No matter how impressive or financially beneficial this technology might be, we should not forget that junior positions at creative studios are most at risk of this technology being utilized within their workflow. Young talent will always need a junior starting point at a studio in order to mature as an artist. If we take that away, it creates a very difficult gap to fill between future graduates and senior artists. Therefore I agree with the fact that the use of AI generative art should be regulated with the intend to protect the integrity, the copyright and the opportunities of current and all future artists. I do believe that there can be a place for AI within our workflows, but I repeat that this place must be logical and in harmony with the interests of the amazingly skilled artists upon which the studios are built. Without them, the studios are nothing more than a group of corporate individuals who have their respectable set of skills, but lack the creative knowhow and experience to execute their visions and financial investments. So as I conclusion I sign this petition with the idea of extending a voice of reason amongst the hectic goldrush that this AI trend has been pushing. Let's not forget where we came from and why we create art in the first place. I do not want to see this technology die out as I can clearly also see some great benefits to it, but it should never be used to create a quick profit at the expense of the countless artists that allowed for it to exist in the first place. If we are to welcome AI into our workflow, let it be regulated with clear guidelines and laws that protect us and the next generation of artists that we s

As an artist, I reject the idea that my labor and ideas should be devoured and regurgitated endlessly by AI algorithms without proper compensation or credit. Therefore I stand with the artists who have been affected by this already. No more unethical AI exploitation of human artists.

I'm about to graduate in a field that was already very competitive and difficult to get into, and I fear that the upcoming (unregulated) AI will completely suffocate it, as well as many creative fields completely.

Visdev and background artist in animation film with a dream to work in book cover illustrations. This dream may become obsolete if AI is allowed to dominate our creative industry, if the general public and leadership chooses the value of money over the value of art made by human hands.

I’m an Illustrator and animator that lose clients because of AI! That’s unfair competition on the job market and distortion so the tech companies can earn more money by stealing/scraping copyrighted data from hardworking people without their permission. They claim it’s “fair use” but it’s a hole in the law that they misuse to earn money in the name of (“non-profit”) “research” which it’s NOT! Stop tech companies’ unethical greedy and toxic behaviour! Why should tech companies decide what jobs are important or unnecessary? I love my job so why should they decide that my job should be automated by stealing my data from my work so they can earn more money but not me?!

I think everything has already been said, but as a belgian artist, I feel threatened by those unlimited AI. Time to add some rules and protect the human beings behind the creations we can see everywhere
