This is a simple petition to express the displeasure of the decision makers at ESPN. Please join me in spreading awareness to those that have shown true courage over the years. Lauren Hill, Stuart Scott, Leah Still, Jim Kelly and Noah Galloway exemplify the true meaning of courage. Courage does not need to be redefined by personal agendas. You know true courage when you see it. Despite ESPN's decision, Bruce Jenner is not deserving of this award as it is defined.

ESPN is ignoring true heroes to push a political agenda and we cannot let them get away with it. We are about to hit our first major target so push this link out to everyone right now. Do not let these corporate suits think they can rewrite the definition of courage without a massive fight.

I agree what Bruce Jenner does takes courage, but Lauren Hill was fighting cancer and continued to play. She raised an incredible amount of money. This young woman never lost courage
Using the unfortunate popularity of reality tabloid television characters to sell your awards show is a disgrace to what an award like the Arthur as he Award for Courage should stand for.
I think it's absurd that Bruce Jenner is receiving the Arthur Ashe award for Courage. what did he do that was so brave? there were a few thousand transgender people who came before him. I feel like this has nothing to do with him being courageous, it has all to do with the ratings.
Disney has sold its soul for $$$$. Choosing Bruce to receive the AA Courage Award is an insult to the REAL heroes: Lauren Hill, Stuart Scott and Noah Galloway! Disney just wants to get dramatic footage for Bruce's E! show.
Sickening. Men have overcome cancer, men have lost their limbs and lives fighting for our safety. ESPN must be doing it for ratings. Me, I will not watch the ESPY's for the first time ever. Mistake ESPN.
I really couldn't disagree more, about ESPN's decision. I really do NOT understand this. All of the real hero's in this country, and BRUCE (NOT Caitlyn, because he is NOT a SHE) gets the award? I am really, really, REALLY confused (probably as much as Jenner and his Jen-der)...

Everyday I choose what clothes to wear, I choose my hairstyle but I didn't choose to have a disability. Bruce chose to have a sex change. That's not courage it's preference.
