Please do not spam Mr. Colfer, he signed all of the rights of AF to Disney and does not make any decisions that factor to the movie.

While I am admittedly not that much of a fan of the series, these changes really seem out of place... why change things around if they (particially) oppose each other?

How could they, this cast doesn't make any sense. It seems like they changed things to make it more differse, but in the end they cut out the actual diversity

Can't you guys ever actually read the books before casting? This is such a waste and I had to live through the butchering of Avatar the Last Airbender for these exact reasons. If you don't want to have a box office bomb then do not do this.

I understand you want the movie to seem progressive and diverse but the book already has that.

I've been waiting years for an Artemis Fowl movie- years. But if this is the way they're going to do it, if they're going to completely twist up the plot and change the races of characters, I'd rather see it not made at all.

I was extremely excited for the movie, and seeing the cast made me so confused. I still want to see the movie, I love the series, after all. But what they did is completely wrong and would affect the story so, so much. I get they are trying to bring more representation with Butler and Root, but... Man, did they mess up. The girl playing Holly is also a mistake, she doesn't look at ALL like the character I looked up to so much reading the series. I really hope they fix this.

Yes! This covered all the bases, the casting is absolutely atrocious.

:(
The casting ruins the story I loved as a child.
I'm angry
Why, Disney, why?
I agree with everything that has been said
