Can you believe that there are jobs out there that pay alot more than a soldiers wage. these jobs are sitting behind a desk at a computer all day or managing a call centre for example, no risk to the employee at all.Yet our soldiers are at risk everyday, a lot of our men and women have died fighting for us, our country and even to help give other countries get a better quality of life, get paid at least 50% less!! I found on the internet that there are other Government jobs that pay a higher starting wage than the army. For example a Police Community Support Officer is on a starting wage of over £18k a year, thats almost £6k more than a soldier. Also a Police Officer will get a starting wage of over £25k a year as from September 2010, that is £13k a year more than a soldier. How can our Goverment think this is at all acceptable???!!! We need to help our service people get paid what they deserve. Please sign this petition in support of all our service men and women that are fighting to keep our country safe.
