It's really sad to see chess players not being recognised by the government of India even after performing on the International level on a continuous basis. Hope things will get sorted out.

It is a matter of shame that Indian Government is so callous about our players who are making the nation proud. India has more Grandmasters than China, but China GMs are stronger than Indian GMs currently! What they need is monetary support and they will be able to trounce China any day
