Arjuna Awards to Chess Players - Drought of 7 years

It is crucial for the government to acknowledge the importance of chess players in India. They are putting in a lot of efforts and time which should end up in something amazing. I hope the Indian Government will look into the matter and acknowledge the gems of chess in India

Chess players work very hard to improve their rating and sometimes they have to work very to even rise by one rating and the fact that they haven’t one even one Arjuna award in seven years is embarrassing to sports in India

Every sportsman including all chess players deserve recognition from the country. Recognise our grandmasters!

Since 2013 chess players like Vidit,Adhiban haven't got Arjuna Award they truly deserve it.
