Yoga isn’t an Olympic sport either and we take pride in it. Time to do that with chess too. It originated here and we need to cherish our heritage. It’s a shame we aren’t doing that yet.

Chess is recently become a popular online sports in india and around the world. So, Team India and our players are working extremely hard to win every tournament they play. They are now world beaters and spend immense amount of energy and time to reach this level. It would be a disrespect for them and us if we don't recognise their hardwork and perseverance. They are making india proud each and every moment and should be called as national gems (Bharat Ratna). So, these is my contribution to the cause and my humble request is to recognize these legends of the game we have and award them with Khel Ratna, Arjuna Award, Dronacharya awards as they well and truely deserve it.

Every game is equally important and should be given equal respect. It has been 7 years that chess player are not getting arjun award. Only cricketer, tennis, badminton, wrestling player are getting. Chess player are not even nominated. Govt. Should also look to chess players.
