Well actually I think chess should be definitely included in the list of sports which are recognised for national awards from the government and not just Arjuna award I mean bharat ratna and all other awards as well.

They deserve it more than many others on the list. Just because we Indians don't follow the game in volumes it can't be neglected.. look at the age at which all these players are acheiving such heights.

I think Chess performance is constantly improving, earlier we used to hear vishy Anand, now we're having many talented players. We have to promote & bring glory to India originated this mordern sport.

I request the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Government of India to help the deserving chess players of our country to get the rewards(Arjuna Award) for their proud performances and achievements.
