I really hope indian government considers chess players for the Arjuna award. They have dedicated their life to chess and are winning many laurels for India at the world stage.

This is a very serious issue which needs to be looked upon very quickly. Thanks to Chessbase for speaking for the players and the game. Chess has been part of our culture and history.

We have such gems. Should encourage them by providing awards and good facilities too.
Really pined by loss of Vidit, Divya and Humpy because of internet issues.
Hope government does something about it.

Not only arjuna award, they should also be considered for all top level awards for sportpersons and even bharat ratna for vishy sir. It is a shame the govt does almost nothing for these players.
