We should have Arjuna awards for chess players. It is believed that Che’s had been invented in India and if we don’t support Indian chess players then we are being unfair to them. I fully support this. We not only encourage India players by awarding them we should provide the best ever facilities to them by helping them financially and morally.

Chess is sport which is orginated in india,but still it is not recognised in india itself.Still Indian chess players play amazing chess and always make India proud in every event.They definitely deserve this award which they should have received long back.

I'm amazed that it has not already happened. Our biggest global sporting icon comes from this game - Vishy Anand is a 5 time world champion and that he can't win a sporting award is a shame, really. This should happen immediately and players should be considered even retrospectively.

Arjuna awards for Chess players! - These amazingly talented players are representing India at a global level and earning name for them as well as the nation. There is no reason to not to confer them with the recognition(s) they deserve.
