India claims that chess is originated in india but does nothing to recognize it and its player..for the last 7 years no award has been given to chess player ..please recognize their efforts and felicitate them with arjun award and dronacharya award so that more people can come to this beautiful Indian originated game.....

Chess needs to be given as much recognition as other games. Chess players are doing so well and it needs to be acknowledged. I believe Arjuna award would be a great way to boost the morale of the players as they represent India and take pride in it when they outperform the players from the other countries. So I sign this petition in their support.

Indian chess deserve encouragement. We have great players already and have the potential to produce future world champions if and only if there is enough encouragement to this champions.
