I request the current government to throw some light on great chess players India has produced & honour them with Arjuna award

I think this award should available for every sport. Chess is both physical and mental game and players are really doing everything for their game their passion and so our government should also do the same for our players.

Team India had done amazing things with GM Vidit Gujrathi as Captain in FIDE Olympiads .Who guessed that chess would be so interesting?

Players in every field needs recognition and chess being the oldest sport in India , needs to get more attention then it does currently!

I'm hoping this increases the reach of chess further into general media which in turn would facilitate more players to pursue chess as a career. I'm also hoping that this would help the top players of India to get the Government's assistance for training, travelling and other chess related miscellaneous costs. Good luck!
