I believe there should be cover in the North East. The central belt is to far to travel in an emergency.

A two centre trauma centre is ridiculous. I would have died if the ambulance had to take me to Glasgow or Edinburgh where I was treated at ARI for a major RTA>

We live an hour away from Aberdeen which is a long time, but to have to travel to the Central Belt in the event of a major injury is unthinkable.. Please retain the major trauma centre at Foresterhill..

I agree with the centralisation of specialist elective treatments but trauma treatment is time critical and the North of Scotland must not be denied this facility.

Not to site a trauma unit in Aberdeen will put people who suffered injury at Hugh risks.

To not have Aberdeen as a major trauma centre would be to deprive the whole of the North of Scotland, and the Highlans and Northern Isles, not to mention the oil and gas workers access to essential trauma care. We have been consistently under funded over the years and this feels indicative of a lack of interest in anywhere other than the Central Belt.

3 hours (minimum from the nearest trauma centre to Aberdeen is not acceptable and for parts further north and west is unconscionable.

If the two centre model is the final outcome, this is another instance of a policy of centralisation that the SNP seem hell-bent on pursuing. It is short-sighted and plainly wrong.

Given the size of the area ARI has to cover , it would be madness in the extreme to go back on this decision. It appears that Aberdeen city does not figure in any of the government plans for the future. We are becoming more and more like the forgotten few.
