For an area the size ARI cover we should have been a definite for this however the SNP like to keep everything in the Central belt.

It's important that the hospital north of Central Belt have a major trauma facility. Rapid response is critical. Much time is wasted getting people to Glasgow or Edinburgh. Areas around the country have to be treated equally and Aberdeen provides for wider areas of north Scotland.

Too far to be transferred to the central belt in an Ambulance if you are in a Serious Condition !

It is crucial that patients in the North of Scotland have access to a major trauma centre at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. All relevant trauma services are provided (imaging, neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, cardiothoracic surgery etc.) and due to large geographical distances, patient transfer to the central belt would cause loss of life and deskilling of existing work-force.

Glasgow and Edinburgh are near enough to each other to share a centre. A rare misjudgement from the SNP. Saor Alba. #VoteYES #IndyRef2 #BothVotesSNP

This is vital to anyone living outside of the central belt area, it makes absolutely no sense not to have ARI as a major trauma centre, not only for it's location for any oil industry related accidents, but for everyone else. If the SNP government announced it purely to get votes from the north east then SHAME ON THEM for doing a U-turn. This is an issue that gambles with lives!!

Residents across the North East need to have equivalent medical services to those in Central Scotland. ARI deserves a major trauma centre.

The north east of Scotland is a hub for most people north of the central belt. Including the northern isles. Locating a major trauma centre there is logical, realistic and practical for a large undervalued proportion of Scotland's population. Perhaps people from the central belt could even use it which would take some of the workload from the other centres. What's the difference between all people from the north going south and some folks from the south travelling north? A fair balance in my opinion.

It's really important that we keep specialist service in the north of Scotland . What would be the point of having the two trauma centres in neighbouring cities . We will lose our medical experts and it will put people's lives in danger.

Aberdeen should be one of the identified Trauma Centres to cover the population of the North of Scotland and the Isles. Edinburgh or Glasgow are geographically close to each other so why would they be the only sites???

Centralising medical services is not on. Quite simply proposing that this could be 170 miles away will cost lives .We live next to the notoriously dangerous A96 . It s a major job for ambulance crews getting to Aberdeen.!. A.R.I supports patients in Highlands and Islands too .More SNP cheapskate centralisation . Hands off SNP. This is a medical necessity. Deliver what was promised .

North of Scotland needs (and was promised) such a centre. Ludicrous, dangerous and unfair not to have it.

A major trauma centre at the ARI in Aberdeen serving the area would be a great thing for the future of medicine.

Many complain about the UK being London centric, however we very much have the problem of central belt centric! Aberdeen serves the most northerly and remote areas of Scotland as well as the North Sea and those working on platforms. Another Alpha Bravo disaster and many more lives could be lost. The SNP is now showing it's true colours!

Another example of those in power concentrating resources on the Central Belt and ignoring other major population centres in Scotland. Unfair.

It would be foolish to concentrate emergency skills and services in such a limited geographical area. The Central Belt is not Scotland.
