The distances involved to transport patients from the Northern isles are already great. The people of Grampian and the Northern isles deserve a service that provides as immediate care as is possible and their families should not have to travel even greater distances or spend even more money than they have to already to get to them or stay with them.

I'm supporting the 57 clinicians who deal with major trauma - they know from their experience what is best for Grampian.

Why have two trauma centres an hour apart?? ..surely it makes more sense to have one in Glasgow /Edinburgh and one in Aberdeen / Dundee therefore providing an important service for a larger geographical area!

Please stop locating everything in the central belt, ARI covers a huge area and we need investment as much as Edinburgh and Glasgow. Don't follow the path of Westminster and risk alienating a large proportion of your electorate.

Should 1 not be Aberdeen as most offshore employees fly from Aberdeen and most north Sea oil rugs are near aberdeen?

A major trauma centre is a must for Aberdeen. Only having them in the central belt is a disgrace to the Scottish Parliament (or maybe it should be the "Edinburgh Parliament"), putting so many lives at risk as speed is paramount for trauma injuries. Maybe they don't realise it but the lives of everyone in the country are equally important, no matter where they choose to live! I thought they wanted so prove they weren't like the "London Parliament".

Given the high RTA rate in this area this is essential

It's NHS Scotland, not NHS Central Belt, what ever your politics. Aberdeen needs to be included to help serve the people of the North of Scotland.
