Edinburgh and Glasgow are far too far away to serve this part of the country let alone part further north and the Islands.

Frightening that major trauma patients would have to travel to the central belt. That long journey would not help their condition.

Aberdeen ARI must be a major trauma centre. The Scottish Government must be held to account and not be allowed to renege on the 4 major trauma centres that they promised.

Why go back on a commitment previously made. The distance between aberdeen and Glasgow or that other place could be the difference between life and death. Emergency Services speak of the "Golden Hour" as being critical to life survival. How long would it take to transport a critically ill trauma patient from Aberdeen to one of the two proposed new centres. It is time that people acknowledge that Aberdeen is a major city, even if it is beyond the Central Nelt.

Aberdeen needs a trauma centre. Surely if a trauma center is a hospital equipped and staffed to provide care for patients suffering from major injuries as a result of falls and motor vehicle collisions then Aberdeen needs one. Falls and vehicle collision injuries frequently involve head and spinal injuries and as Aberdeen's Neurosurgical Unit has the largest geographic catchment area in the UK, serving a population of 800,000 from across Grampian the Highlands, Orkney and Shetland then a trauma centre should be based here too.

Makes absolutely no sense NOT to have a major trauma hospital to serve the North of Scotland, they pay taxes just like the people of Glasgow and Edinburgh

Surely there are enough accidents in the North East to justify a trauma centre. What a thought that if you were in an accident you would have to go to the central belt.

We do not need 2 trauma units in the central belt that is just a nonsense why is Aberdeen and surrounding area less worthy of a trauma unit A.I.R serve a very large area

The north-east needs a major trauma centre as the travelling time too great to have only two centres in Scotland and we need to retain skills of medical and surgical staff.

Why is everything "centralised" This government is so biased for that area.
