Ridiculous to think of major traumas not being treated at ari.

This is a ridiculous idea .. As we live n Inverness our loved ones are transferred to Abdn which a family had to be a couple times due serious head injury and the care was fantastic

ARI covers a large geographical area and having a trauma centre there woukd help to save many more lives.

This is one of the best hospitals in Scotland and serves such a big area it makes no sense for it not to be one of the four major trauma centres.

Service needs to be provided on equitable basis, probably in all areas. Aberdeen being not only the pride of north but also accessible to greater coverage and bigger pipulation needs trauma services. What is the point undermining existing services provided by ARI where pioneering researches and teaching are our prides. Create as many as possible but not by snatching from one.

I work at woodend hospital in Aberdeen, and sometimes in the trauma theatre at ari. both as always busy with trauma cases. so if we were to loss ari as a trauma centre patients would be the ones to loss out.

The North and Islands will not be well served with just 2 trauma centres in the central belt ARI must be one of the Trauma centres in Scotland

We need a trauma centre, situated away from the central belt, why would it be necessary to have 2 centres so close together. Aberdeen the obvious choice for the second trauma centre with the other in the central belt.

Patient care and safety for the North of Scotland will only be maintained if Aberdeen is one of the major trauma centers.

Its a pity that a petition is necessary to secure equitable facilities for the north of Scotland - but without an MTC in Aberdeen we will be left with second best. I hope the Scortudh Government listens.

ARI needs to be part of the major trauma network as it has fantastic facilities and a second to none Cancer Unit. We, the people of the North East, want to be reassured, and not have our lives put at risk by moving everything to the central belt!

ARI needs to be part of the Major trauma network or there will be unnecessary transfers to the central belt that will put patient in the north east at risk
