We always miss out in Aberdeen but we too are a major city and cover a vast area. From personal experience our family had to travel regularly to a Glasgow hospital (spinal unit) to visit our son for 6months and it was very stressful 3 hours travelling to get there 3 hours back also had to find accommodation when staying there which can be costly.

Considering this serves such a vast area it is absolutely ridiculous that closure of or downsizing this centre should even be being contemplated.

Don't the Scottish Government realise that a lot of us live north of Stirling? Do we need to buy them an atlas so they can appreciate the distances/times severely ill or injured people would have to travel?

Pretty ridiculous. Already causing major problems in rural areas because of earlier closures and does NOT save money because of all the ambulance and air ambulance usage required to support this model. Sort it out before it starts costing lives.

If, as proposed, only two Trauma Centres are to be considered, the idea of siting them BOTH in the central belt less than 1 hour apart shows the disdain that the SNP have for the rest of Scotland.

This needs to happen in Aberdeen
There should be no hesitation in making Aberdeen one of the trauma centres.
I am sure this will happen

not everyone lives in the central belt.. ARI has a great reputation and needs to keep it and keep its good doctors and nursing staff
