Central Belt bias rears its head again, anywhere outwith Glasgow and Edinburgh is deemed irrelevant by the SNP.

Edinburgh - Glasgow 40 miles apart in central region so sticking to the SNPs pattern of keeping everything in the central belt. Makes much more sense to have a trauma centre up here, we do not need two in such close proximity.

Having ARI as a major trauma centre would be better off for the north of Scotland, logistically

Why would it not be? ARI treats people from all over the north east and covers a wider area than some of the hospitals in the central belt.

We have far too much patient traffic at ARI to allow us to be overlooked. This would keep us current, and funded.

Edinburgh and Glasgow are too far away from the north of Scotland. Aberdeen Royal Infirmary needs to be retained to service these far flung areas. The world does not revolve around the Central Belt

An absolute must to ensure skills and expertise remain as local to the patient as possible. Too many things are 'centralised' with sometimes life threatening consequences. The north east is just as much a part of Scotland as the central belt is and needs to be treated so.

There's more to Scotland than just the Central Belt. Aberdeen needs to be included in order to provide this care for the North and North East.

Aberdeen MUST have a Trauma Centre. We still have to cover North Sea & the Northern Isles. It is ridiculous to base TWO in the Central Belt. We also have very poor rural roads and more than our share of accidents & casualties.

A trauma centre in Aberdeen would serve the whole north of Scotland and is badly needed. The central belt doesn't need two.

The people of the North-east and further need -and deserve- health facilities comparable with those of the central belt.
We're no less sick or prone to injury, and significantly further away!
