Please keep ARI a main emergency/trauma hospital. It's too far to get seriously injured to Edinburgh when there is fabulous trauma care available nearer. Surely lives might be lost going down this route!!

Please make ARI one of the major trauma hospitals in Scotland. It is a very important hospital for the people of Orkney, as the distance for patients & family isn't too far for them to travel.

Typical of these central belt tossers. If it's not Edinburgh or Glasgow they don't give a toss.

In the last year alone, how many major traffic issues have we had? How many accidents where people have been critically injured? It's absolutely vital Aberdeen has a major trauma centre: for the local and outlying, because this isn't a money saving issue: they are playing with people's lives by doing this

Scotland needs a major trauma centre outwith of the central belt. The population from Dundee and across the North, North East, and highlands justify the need.

A trauma centre in Aberdeen absolutely essential to save lives for those of us who live in the north of Scotland. ARI has excellent facilities and staff use them to save lives!!

I feel very strongly that trauma centres should not be confined to the central belt!

I think that ARI is being short changed again! Would people in Glasgow/Edinburgh wish to be sent 160 miles for critical treatment. I also think that the Government should be stepping in to sort out the internal problems that ARI have including the suspended Consultants, missed treatment times and the sending of patients to the Central belt for operations

How silly having two MTCs within 40 miles and leaving the north vulnerable...a case of indecision. And not wishing to upset central belt pals Glasgow and a Edinburgh . One needed north ..Aberdeen.

We need a trauma centre north of the Central Belt. Aberdeen could cover highlands and islands as well, and also the oil and fishing industry. Stop central belt bias.

This MUST be kept in Aberdeen as there is more area to the north of Aberdeen which will be without Trauma cover if it is moved. Think of Piper Alpha and the effect this had in the North East. If the same happened now, it does not bear t hinking about as casualties had to airlifted to Glasgow or Endinburgh, adding at least an hour to the journey!!.
