I was unfortunate to have a serious motocross accident which meant i was flown down to Glasgow. For 6 months my family and friends had to travel all the way there. When the outcome of an accident is unknown this all adds to an almost unbearable amount of stress. Aberdeen needs and deserves this trauma centre

This will be an absolute disgrace if this is moved away from Aberdeen. Central belt bias cannot be allowed to dictate the outcome of this.

They tried this with neurosurgery in the past and failed.
Aberdeen should have a major trauma centre end of argument.

Aberdeen has requirement for such a facility. ARI has always been an important medical centre and should remain so.

The north east needs a trauma centre, putting these services in just Edinburgh and Glasgow threatens the lives of a massive area of Scotland.
Scotland does not just mean the central belt, so stop the bias!

It is essential to the North East that we have this facility.

Having worked in trauma orthopaedics at the ARI which covered trauma from the islands down to Dundee we acted as a major resource to a large portion of the country. It seems like a huge disservice to that area to make patients travel further when they need care as quickly as possible and family support near by at that distressing time.

With the many millions spent on the ARI and the servicing of the highlands & islands plus the remaining oil industry it makes common sense to retain the ARI as a key player. Before devolution the SNP complained that London / Westminster ran the show, now the SNP are in power in Edinburgh they do not think that there is anything of value North of the Forth, think again before it is too late.

Vital we keep this open. This area is huge and scattered. We alsohave a lot of fog which could hamper choppers. Difficult for families to accompany/visit casualties. It does not make sense to do this. It will fail just like Police Scotland and Ambulance service. People will die.
Also what about wasted expertise of Doctors and Nurses.
