End the central belt centric funding of the Scottish government and ensure the rest of Scotland is better served.

Aberdeen is a major oil and gas hub, fishing and farming are also important industries with a high percentage of accidents, therefore is vital that Aberdeen be one of the four trauma centres, or is this another example of centralisation!

Due to the fact that Aberdeen is central to the oil industry, fishing, farming and many other dangerous occupations it is vital that we in the north east and highlands have our own central trauma centre, after all, the "critical hour" is when most patients need expert medical help, travelling to the central belt would be detrimental to this.

For Aberdeen not to have a trauma centre is ridiculous. Who from our area w ants to have to travel to Edinburgh or Glasgow when they are either seriously ill or injured? Crazy idea.

Central belt bias yet again! ARI serves a huge area including Orkney and Shetland and we all deserve equal access to highly specialised trauma care. There is not a hope of transferring patients to a trauma centre within the "golden hour".

why on earth would people in our area and further north need to travel all the way to the central belt when we already have the best nurses and doctors here.

A trauma centre in the North east of Scotland is essential. The SNP cannot be allowed to centralise this essential service also.

Aberdeen needs to retain its Major Trauma Centre, The north of Scotland requires this service. It makes no sense at all to move it lock stock and barrel to the south where there is already 2 in Glasgow and Edinburgh. IF they need to close one then let it be one of them.

The police have been centralised, the fire service has been centralised why believe the SNP when they say trauma centres won't be?

I feel extremely strongly that there should be a trauma centre at ARI. The suggestion/recommendation that Glasgow AND Edinburgh should have such facilities when they are so close together is just ridiculous - there should be only ONE in that area and ONE serving the north of Scotland in Aberdeen
