ARI remaining part of this is key to us all. It is hard enough coming from outside Aberdeen to visit never mind having to travel hundreds of miles

There needs to be a trauma centre here.Central belt is to far away for urgent treatment.

Nothing short of shocking to propose no trauma centre north of the central belt who will have TWO. The SNP who complained about centralisation created by Westminster need to look at themselves.

Absolutely terrible that this is even being considered. Aberdeen needs a trauma centre .

Without a local Trauma Centre Aberdeen will be relegated to be a District Hospital, and salvageable critically ill patients will die and many will be left with avoidable disabilities.

I used to live in the central belt & over time have moved up into north Aberdeenshire. I was a nurse in the NHS & am very aware of the importance of early intervention in any trauma cases. I am appalled that the SNP Government are considering pulling out from this much needed trauma facility.

Why always the Central Belt?

A Trauma Centre is needed in the northern part of Scotland as it covers a vast area; the highlands and islands as well as the towns and cities. Why does all this go to the Central Belt?

The SNP should change its name to the CBP ;- The Central Belt Party. They go on about the English Parliament taking away powers from Scotland while the SNP devolve everything to the central belt. Including the Police control rooms the forensic labs and we have to deal with people who do not have any idea regarding the geography of the north and north east.

I was involved in an accident in 2003 and received life saving treatment from ARI. With offshore and island support ARI should certainly become a major trauma center for the NE Scotland. Basing everything in the central belt is a complete disgrace! Edinburgh and Glasgow are one hour apart - why not have a trauma center in between the two cities and maintain support for the NE population and workforce?

Fully support a Trauma centre based in Aberdeen

It may astound the Scottish government to learn that not everyone in Scotland lives in the Central Belt. Lives will be lost if the decision to abandon a Trauma Centre in Aberdeen goes ahead.

We are seeing the SNP government steadily moving public services to the central belt while underfunding the public services in Aberdeen and the North East.

If SG opt for a two centre model based in Glasgow & Edinburgh there will be a steady decline in services available at ARI. If SG was genuinely considering all options it would not be developing only one and would also be considering a 2 centre model based in Glasgow & Aberdeen.

It is inconceivable that there will be no trauma centre north of the central belt. Scotland is vast and in the north the population is widely dispersed. This must be challenged.
