Yet again the SNP seems to think that Scotland does not require services north of the Central Belt!

It is clear central belt bias if the ARI is not one of Scotland's major trauma centres. For many Glasgow or Edinburgh is as far away as London.

The north clearly needs a centre and there will already be significant investment in a trauma centre in the central belt. Speed is of essence in emergency aid - to abandon the north would cost lives.

Why would I want myself or my family to be treated in Glasgow or Edinburgh when we have an excellent hospital in our home town this idea is ridiculous

As a paid member of the SNP and a disabled person I feel we need this in Aberdeen. ARI covers a very large area of the north east and the Highlands and Islands

ARI should be a major trauma centre. Families and friends have to travel miles to visit loved ones, meaning that visits can be few and far between. This would ensure that the morale of the patients are kept as high as possible as at the moment they are on their own a lot during the week and assisting with recovery.

We need this trauma centre at ARI to maintain the high standard we expect in this huge area that the ARI covers.

Aberdeen not only covers the surrounding area but also the highlands and islands , for people in trauma to travel massive distances to the central belt is dangerous and putting lifes at more risk.

As I live an hour north of Aberdeen if these services are only available in the central belt it will be a death sentence for people like myself.
