A two-centre model 50 miles apart makes no major trauma sense and will fail to serve the North of Scotland. The NHS should provide equity of access to all the Scottish population.

Very necessary to have a trauma centre based in a place capable of serving a wide geographical area speedily.

Glasgow & Edinburgh are a mere hour apart. Aberdeen covers not only the NE and all of the surrounding population /offshore but also the both islands, and so much more. There's more to Scotland than you might think.

We need to have a trauma unit in this area and not in the central belt! Aberdeen Royal Infirmary has for too long been sidelined for Edin burg hand Glasgow! There are many people in this part of Scotland too!

It's a disgrace that patients from the north of Scotland will have to travel to the central belt for treatment after a traumatic injury. This will impact on their families ability to visit and support them and reintegration into their community while they are still under hospital care. No doubt follow up care at local hospitals will also be reduced as funding is placed more in the two trauma centres.

Trauma centre is essential....but we also need better facilities for pain management!! (Aberdeen's provision is under staffed and the worst in Scotland, if not the UK!!) What's going on? Is it only Central Belt that matters? Sick of " pink labour".

Let's not have all our resources go to the central belt......our 25% of the population is just as important and worthy.

just consider the population ARI already supports over a large area. The extra travelling time could cost lives.

It would be a travesty to the north of scotland, highlands, and islands if ARI trauma unit was closed

What consideration has been given to island residents who have to travel even further. Also can the air ambulance service cope with this extra demand on a service which is already stretched.

An area this size needs a trauma centre. To transport patients in critical need of care to either Edinburgh or Glasgow would be putting many lives at risk. How can the SNP's possibly think this is right?

We need a trauma center in Aberdeen where people can have locally excellent treatment without traveling miles away from the family.
