I had to ring to cancel my appointment today. I was kept waiting 15 minutes before somebody answered. I was in work and using my mobile, I dread my bill coming !! I asked if a cancellation came up the following week could they let me know as I live close to the surgery and could be there in minutes but was told they don't have that facility in place. Unforeseen circumstances caused me to cancel and was anxious to let them know as soon as possible to give another patient a chance of having an appointment. The service they provide is shocking and not good enough... it's time for a major review and change !!!

Perhaps there could be an option to book an appointment online? I know some surgeries do this now.

To ring at 8am in the morning and having to constantly redial, whilst getting the non -poorly children ready for school is a nightmare. Not enough appointments with doctors are available when you do get through. Seeing a nurse practitioner isn't unacceptable but the whole point of going to the doctors is to see an actual doctor.

Whenever a member of our family need to book an appointment at Argyle Street we can be on the phone for over an hour redialing anything up to 50 times which more often than not dors not guarantee a same day appointment.quite simply unacceptable.

I have phoned a few times mainly for my wife who is a Transplant Patient and have had to wait due to the call holding system !! what they got is a horrible system which does not work well needs to be improved and made easier for access to doctors etc .

It should be possible to pre-book appointments by phone, or at the counter, instead of only doing "same day" for the lucky few that manage to beat the eight o'clock telephone "scrum".

Just moved here and was shocked that I could not get a walk in appointment spent 3 days trying on the phone till i had to go in again and more or less demand an appointment. If they are so busy then perhaps they could use some of the money to employ people to improve the system

I agree with the idea regarding the four opportunities to make appointments, as I have found the current system unworkable and frustrating to the extent I neglect my health and give up.

System seriously needs to be changed, I have phoned on my house phone and also my mobile the same time hoping to get connected quicker but just the over 100 calls on each.

What the share holders need to understand is that the telephone appointment system is letting the practice down. We are not stupid and understand the pressures our GP s are under. maybe for two days a week the practice should go back to the good old days where patients que for there appointment, you will be surprised how fewer patients the doctors will have to deal with, and is another option to get to see the doctor, remember not everybody has a phone.

It's got to the point were I don't bother ringing up anymore , as I have a mobile phone and it's takes that long for a answer it eats my credit up

I rang this morning to get an appointment for my 2 year old who had a very high temperature and was being sick. I started ringing at 7:55 and finally got through to the surgery at 9:15. I asked for an urgent doctors appointment and was told that all appointments had been taken so she would not be able to see anyone. I asked what the receptionist suggested I do with my ill 2 year old, and was told they could take my details and ring me if an appointment became available. I took my daughter to A&E as I wanted her seen by a doctor. This system is not acceptable. Could there be more than one line to ring, or more staff to answer the phones, or a first come first served system.

I tried from 8am till 9.15 only to be told there was no appointments. It wasnt till i said ok i will get a taxi down in the morning and get one. I have seen people walk in and get an appointment. They say they are very busy. I went with my daughter and there was only 3 people waiting. I feel sorry for the elderly its not fair. Something needs done.
