I live in Swalecliffe and strongly oppose 6 flights a day flying over my house. Even when the RAF were stationed at Manston not much air traffic flew over Swalecliffe.

The noise from the cargo planes over Herne Bay was terrible, they were so close you could make out the cockpit windows so many flights would make it unbearable. They are NOT high enough to not cause a problem .

I live in a very quiet rural village in East Kent. I moved here for it being quiet. Do not spoil this by allowing Marston Airport to operate and affect the lives of thousands of people in East Kent with noise and pollution!!

The decision of the SOS is both irrational and unconscionable.
Re read the balanced and thorough report of the DCO Planning Inspectorate who recommended that based on all the available evidence that the DCO should be rejected.
No one should have to endure these low flying polluting planes over their homes and schools. Shame on the developer, the sos and the CAA if it doesn’t stop this crony capitalist scandal.

To fly over such a peaceful area would be devastating to the local community

We do not need another airport! Surely after this pandemic less people will be travelling for years to come. The terrible noise will not outweigh the few number of jobs that this will bring. It would be better use of the land to build much needed homes, another school etc.

The industrialisation of the whole of Thanet not just Ramsgate. Grid locked roads, pollution, no tourism, climate catastrophe !!!

What we need in east Kent is environmentally sustainable jobs not another polluting airport.

This whole area is not suitable to be underneath flight paths for a busy international cargo airport. It will cast a terrible blight on Thanet, and on towns and villages beyond. This is awful!

No need for cargo hub, no good transport links away from the area. All local people will get is noise and pollution.

This is a ridiculous proposal - are the new owners of Manston trying to keep the Aviation industry going single-handed? The noise and pollution will have an incredibly adverse effect on the whole area, much to the detriment of the local residents' lives.

We do not need another London airport, it already has six.

This is totally unacceptable to all living in East Kent. It makes a mockery of the commitment to climate strategies in the county and the CCC declaration of a climate emergency. It is a disgrace that this is being done without recourse to open discussion and transparency. I strongly object both to the proposal and the way it is being carried out.

A lot of pensioners live in Herne Bay and spend most of their time in their gardens. We will have noise , foul air and a huge amount of lorries on the 299. Not a place to live if they do this.

No need for this transport link. Flights coming into Manston on appoch and departure are very low and noisy. When flying in over Herne bay in the past, the aircraft were so low you could easily read their aircraft recognition numbers. You could almost see the tyre tread.

We live in Ramsgate and are horrified at the effects on the people that live here and the environment.

We don't need anything else destroying Thanet, the local council already does that.
