This is deeply damaging to the interests of the local community and needs to be stopped

The environmental issues alone should make this a non-starter!!!

I would like flights paths shared evenly between Ramsgate and Herne Bay

We were told no night flights but no one seems to tell us the truth.

No one should allow these developers to run “rough shod” over us without full consultation to all residents & businesses affected by this. We expect full details to be made available to all those affected on a regular basis so that we can raise justified objections when appropriate.

Why should Kent be sacrificed to the Brexit cult??

I wonder how many protesters have moved here from the London area which pushed up house prices which has priced local people out of the property market, obviously that's fine. But heaven bid reopening Manston which will help regenerate the island and create thousands of jobs directly and indirectly, shame on you all, if you don't like it move.

Ramsgate, along with neighbouring areas is very reliant on tourism. It enjoys high quality education opportunities, that are varied and exceptional in reach and diversity = such as Forest School (an educational facility that is run mainly outdoors, including winter months) The Art School, again a unique and exceptional school that would suffer phenomenally in the event this should go ahead. It’s a buoyant growth area. I co own an active community cafe in Ramsgate and currently the number of young families looking to move here is phenomenal- this would be so amazing for this community- this would all fall away should the cargo airport proceed. Ditch it and bring back the ferry.

The approval for reopening Manston is a bizarre decision at every level; environment, economic, jobs. A Cargo Hub at Manston simply isn’t viable. Three companies have tried and here we are waiting for a fourth to inevitably fail. Ramsgate and Thanet deserves better, more transparent decision making.

This will be disastrous for the environment and public health and I cannot understand why it is still being considered as a viable option when a climate emergency has been declared

It was so awful when the planes were flying over Ramsgate- we do not want a repeat of this

Herne bay was not represented by our sitting MP who has focused entirely during this campaign on the benefits for his Thanet constituents even though have nothing to gain and a lot to loose .
