I was unaware of the current flightpath proposals or of the consultation process and feel unrepresented on how this will impact on my life in Deal. If this is accepted the noise pollution and carbon emissions will increase to an unacceptable levels.

Dodgy indeed. S Thanet MP Craig McKinlay owns MAMA airlines. N Thanet MP Roger Gale doesn't want his grandson's health damaged by Heathrow but is happy to throw Thanet under a bus (cargo plane), Hypocrites, liers and conmen running the show. Stop it NOW

Air travel or air cargo is unsustainable and the most environmentally damaging way of moving people or freight, we should be reducing capacity, not increasing it....

Kent seems to be under fire for so called 'necessary developments' - this one at Manston and the proposed solar farm at Graveney/Faversham and the proposed lorry park at Ashford. Do 'business needs' overrule everything else? It seems like it in today's society and that is a sad reflection of the human race.

I can't imagine what the SoS for Transport thinks he is doing by allowing RSP's DCO. Aviation should be reduced- and a new airport so close to a town of 40,000 inhabitants will cause irreparable damage to the environment and to people's health.

My wife and I both ha health problems so we moved from air polluted Hertfordshire to clean air Thanet. Now if this goes ahead once more we will have to move, this time away from family, grandchildren, our family who are also our careers, costing the nhs more money,

I doubt that this cargo hub is needed and suspect that RSP will eventually develop the site for housing. The DCO should never have been granted, especially as the Government’s own inspectors unanimously voted to reject it.

This is outrageous. there is no other airport which is located within an urban area like this. There will be limited jobs created, the affect on the evniornmental - the quality of air and damage to the pegwell bay nature reserve is surely illegal

I am totally opposed to the opening of Manston airport
as a cargo hub. I have lived in Beltinge Herne Bay for twenty years and have experienced low flying, polluting, aircraft so close to our houses you can almost see the pilot! We can see the landing gear as their follow their flight path along the Thanet Way towards Manston.
My concerns are:
Emissions.... Both locally through dumped fuel and nationally how does a new airport contribute towards the government's stated aim of carbon neutral emissions before 2050 (arguably too late)
What about the considerations for local wildlife, nesting migratory birds at Pegwell Bay. Also risks of bird strikes on the proposed flight paths.
Freight movement appears to be largely automated. We await more information regarding creation of new jobs. Skill sets that do not currently exist in the area are likely to present few opportunities for local people.
If would appear that the freight would be transported by road.
I have concerns that the local infrastructure will be overstretched on an already busy stretch of road through Kent.

Cargo planes are the most polluting planes everywhere. This kind of Airport is not applicable so close to a populated area like ours.

I think the volume of flights and inherent CO2 impact, is not environmentally sound. This is not the best land use, it should be reserved for green energy solutions.
