The volume of air traffic along with the low altitudes will make this beautiful town a miserable place to live. If there are any guaranteed positives to outweigh the multiple negative impacts this will have, I haven't heard them.

The ill effects on the health of people living around the airport and under the flight paths and on the affected roads and environment in general will far outweigh any jobs which MAY be created for any LOCAL people

With the proposal of Manston Airport to take cargo planes Internationally would be a disaster for Thanet and Canterbury. Not only a increase of pollution but an increase in freight transport distributing goods inward and outward bound. Currently we have all the freight going to Dover Port causing high levels of pollution.
I would suggest it goes to Gatwick where they have the road infrastructure and staff to manage this especially with passenger plane and staff reduction announced recently.

We nearly need to know more as the impact is considerable. What our options as residents and businesses are. Restitution may also need to be made for several reasons.

Not consulting the local people affected by the prospect of living under a flight path is wrong! I am against the re-opening of the airport, as the negative impact this will have on the local community far outweighs the benefits.

The reopening of Manston as an airport, especially as a freight hub would be absolutely disasterous for the whole of Thanet, not just Ramsgate. The noise pollution and environmental damage would be horrendous for our lovely town.

Awful decision to allow this back as an airport. I thought climate control was supposed to be a big thing for the government- obviously not

Moved here for clean air as have copd .could cope with a few flights a day to Gersey. This will be totally different with many more old planes and lorries bringing loads in .I bet it will not create lots of local jobs as would commercial flights.

I am totally opposed to this plan as it stands. Older cargo planes are incredibly noisy and unwelcome. The areas tourism will be destroyed by this. I appreciate the airport could should be used but if anything it would be a more effective passenger terminal. Quieter planes, and fewer of them. Furthermore those flight paths at low final approach altitudes are not appropriate and cover most of south east kent. If anything all stacking and final approaches should be minimised by fewer numbers and all should be done out at sea. Flight paths should not be over land where it is posible to be over water.

I am very concerned about the climate change, pollution and noise if the new Manston airport flightpaths is re-opened. Surely the Covid virus has taught us enough lessons regarding the environment.

Always 2 steps forward and 25 steps back. Whether it's just noise pollution, CO2 emissions, overloading of the roads [inevitable] or BREXIT as initiators or the consequences this is just far too much over a far too short and long term period. Kent & UK is always, it seems, in disaster mode.

Opening Manston will destroy the tourist industry in Thanet, compete with the already stricken Gatwick and accelerate global warming. A crime

This will not be like the old style Manston but create pollution and ruin Thanet's growing Tourist Industry.
