Noisy old planes polluting our air & ruining our sleep & then the lorries destroying our roads. No thanks! Protect Thanet & our health from this environmental disaster.

This will affect the quality of life of a lot of people, affect tourists coming to the area to enjoy peace and quiet along the coastline.

As always we need the truth.......which has been difficult with this development

On top of all the new housing being built around us, without any new road infrastructures in place, this is just another slap in the face for residents of Dover and Thanet districts. Totally unacceptable and not thought through.

I don’t want a flight path above where I live. The airport will spoil the quality of life for my family.

Where is the consultation? I am a stakeholder, I live under the "finals" approach flight path.

I understand desires to retain a facility that creates employment rather than another dormitory housing development. However, there is a significant difference between Passenger and Freight Airports. As a freight airport it would employ vastly less people and distribute cargo into articulated lorries to drive westwards into England to the distribution centers located inland. There is little benefit to the residents of Thanet and other parts of East Kent, but increased disruption, pollution and traffic congestion instead. There should be a thorough, transparent public inquiry into the backroom deals that are being had and a proper consultation with the affected residents, schools and businesses is both necessary and right.

I strongly oppose the reopening of the airport. The area is deprived enough already without its environment being ruined further by noise and air pollution. The number of jobs it would bring to the area is not enough to justify the detrimental effect on local people’s health and well-being. A lot of work is going into the area to make it more cultural and attractive to visitors, which is a healthier way to bring greater prosperity to the area. The airport would also seriously devalue many people’s homes,, making it less attractive to potential new residents.

I wonder how many people who were duped into voting for Brexit will now live to regret it.

It's bad enough hearing the noisy cargo planes flying overhead from Heathrow, it will be worse having them take off, circling and landing nearby. Big No to Manston!

Have been fighting against this for ages, signed every petition and submitted feedback. And still "they" manage to flaunt the rules. We don't need or want this hub. Health for many before wealth for a few.

We have strong objections to these freight flights, firstly, the freight will have to be transported on a very crowded and unsuitable road network. 2. This is a highly populated part of England and night flights would be intrusive to thousands of people. 3. Pollution levels are already high due to the amount of traffic on the roads, the proposed flights would exacerbate this.

It isn’t needed, was rejected by the pins commissioned by the government but then overused by same government. What a farce. Perhaps another government U turn is needed.
