Poorly crafted legislation that will increase healthcare costs without improving the delivery of care. KEMH accounts for 43% of all healthcare expenditure . Let's start there. Why not impose a moratorium on any new facilities until we can fairly work out an acceptable regulatory framework .

I am definitely not in favour of this bill as it stands .

I completely disagree with the proposed changes and feel it is critical all doctors and dentists are consulted before any legislation is approved.

The new act still needs work to be both fair to healthcare providers and protect public safety.

quality control and self regulation by a physician controlled committee is preferable

I agree we need improved regulation of the healthcare provision in Bermuda but do not agree with this amendment in its current form.

The main source of healthcare expenditure is the hospital. Its high costs drives care overseas, as does its lack of accountability. There is not a problem with insufficient legislation, but there is with its application.

I think this is a very poor act. I do not think that a politically appointed Quango is the body that should be vested with this authority and power. Health care reform is needed and regulation included as part of the bigger picture.
