Are you in favor of the new Healthcare Amendment Act?

Not in favor. All equipment is high risk when used by the wrong people &/or when poorly maintained. Canada has passed a more intelligent form of this amendment... check it out.

One step forward... two steps backwards. Definitely not in favor.

This is not in any way going to reduce healthcare costs. It is oppressive and will have adverse consequences for our patients. We could reduce healthcare cost by removing soft drinks and salty foods from the supermarket shelf and by offering more healthy choice meals everywhere. This is not being done because it would affect vested interests of those making a profit from the sale of these food items.

I am not in favour

This is a backward step in trying to control a professional group. There are many problems relating to healthcare in Bermuda, which are been conveniently overlooked. This is November, the Diabetes Awareness Month, and what promotional activities has the government led to help combat this very serious disease. Please let the Physicians improve their lot; legislation of any kind has never worked anywhere in the world, except in the Communist block of old. Femi Bada, MD

We have all witnessed patient suffering or escalating cost of health care when Government interviens in Health care. As the motives may have been well intentioned, the outcomes are far less than favorable towards patient care. In its current form I am not in favor of the new health care act.

I am absolutely not in favour of this amendment. The physicians have spoken as a group and they are not being heard. As doctors, we know what is best for patients. This is a dangerous amendment.
