NSK: You are doing yourself and Japanese sports history a disservice by dismantling Araibira's videos. In an effort to establish positive public relations for sumo, you are alienating a vast audience for you - the audience outside Japan. Few can visit Japan; few can afford tickets to the basho; now, very few can afford your "so-called" subscription plan. The only outlet for sumo appreciation was the library of sumo videos on YouTube and other venues, which you, in your total lack of consideration, want to deprive for your fans. Please permit the archiving of this magnificent, but somewhat inaccessible sport, to be reinstated in Araibira's public venue. Thank you.

Living in Japan I am lucky to have the opportunity to attend sumo live (and go 4 or 5 times when it comes to Osaka). However, when work gets in the way, I watch this channel at night to see what I missed. This channel is great. The sumo association still gets my money from tickets and other regular souvenirs I purchase for family members and myself. The sumo association needs to realize that more fans of the sport, no matter how they get their sumo (paid or unpaid) is still positive for the sport. They need to work with sumo enthusiasts not against them.

unfortunately this will never happen, japan unfortunately has the general opinion of "if it isn't japanese, it doesn't matter" and then they proclaim that non-japanese don't understand them. unfortunately as long as the attitude of "open isolation" exists, they seem unwilling to understand the rest of the world. i wish they'd listen or at least be reasonable, but unfortunately, that will never occur
