I have spent this week meeting with other parishioners to organize our next steps for keeping Father Roman at our parish. The stories you are sharing about how he guided you through your hardest moments show exactly why our community is so special.

Seeing this kind of movement confirms what I have known since Father Darrell first arrived at our parish. It is heartening to realize so many of you value his leadership as much as I do.

The absence of Father Darrell at St. Isaac Jogues and the lack of positive energy at mass, is very unfortunate. Father Darrell, by far, was the most engaging and uplifting speaker, which is what the Archdiocese should want and expect from all priests.
Just got back from 2 months in Florida to find father Darrell gone. After first hearing him speak a couple of years ago I decided to come back to the Catholic Church. Not sure what I will do now. St. Isaac Jogues will not be the same without him. He is a wonderful priest and such an inspirational speaker. Please bring him back.
I don't know the whole reason why the Arch Dioceses of Detroit is removing Fr. Darrel from St. Isaacs Jogues. What I do know is while he was our associate pastor at St. Joseph Parish in Lake Orion Mi. he was Christ centered, very reverent and followed the true faith of the teachings of Christ. He needs to stay .
Fr Darrell is by far one of the best priests I’ve come to know in a very long time. He is so passionate about the Church and it’s teachings. Please, don’t take Father from our parish. He doesn’t deserve to be treated like this, he’s being told he must leave and all he did was preach the truth about our faith. Why is that a crime?!?
I dont know why he is leaving, but I so know this much. Before I met Father Darrell, I wanted nothing to do with church. He has helped bring me back to the church and ignite an interest long dormant inside. Please let him stay

It is wonderful to see how Father Darrell involves the children in mass. We enjoy having him as Pastor and were surprised at this announcement. Please consider keeping him as Pastor of St. Isaac Jogues.
