I am a physician and a student at the ArborVitae school.
We are learning to become herbalist who respect nature and the human body and spirit, and who seek to contribute to the healing of our natural world and the individuals who live with it.
I support the school in its current location as I believe it is in line with the community’s culture.

This school is an amazing reprieve and teaches us about land conservation, being stewards of the earth and using the resources around us to heal others.

ArborVitae is an incredibly wholesome community space for learning traditional herbalism. The teachers are respectful and community conscious focused, and to be honest they are missed in NYC. If I lived there, it would be an honor to have their herbal network, clinical services, and earth centric cultivation near my home. Please give them the license to exist in your town because they are one of the best herbal programs on the east coast.

ArborVitae school of Herbalism is uniquely suited to this site. Their respectful educational offerings are agriculturally based and should rightly be permitted to continue.

I, a lifelong resident of the Hudson Valley and student or Arbor Vitea find its presence deeply respectful and understanding of the area’s past, present and future.

Please allow Arbor Vitae to stay in New Paltz! It’s a perfect location for them and a wonderful asset for the community! A more community-minded, environmentally respectful neighbor with a more noble mission and positive impact does not exist!

Arborvitae School if Traditional Herbalism is a gem in the New Paltz Community, one whose value will continue to deepen and be realized as it deepens it’s roots in its current residence. Their environmental stewardship values combined with a desire to positively serve the community will undoubtedly support the towns goals for generative economic development, preservation of historic character and offering valuable resources to local neighbors.

This seems like an appropriate use of the Jewett farmstead property in keeping with its history and contributing to the surrounding agricultural land and rural residences.
