Please end this annual tax. It's hard enough paying the initial tax but having to come up with it year after year is absurd.

It is an unjustifiable tax that needs to be abolished. I lived in St Charles for 3 months and received a bill for the full 12 months. This is totally unconstitutional by any standard.

It’s not right to have to pay for something that I already payed for. My house and truck shouldn't be a lifelong burden draining what little finances I have

Thank you for initiating this effort to abolish a totally immoral and unconstitutional tax! We purchase property with money that has been taxed by the federal and state governments. Then we pay a sales tax with that previously taxed money. If we purchase a vehicle we pay license and registration fees with that previously taxed money. Then every year or two we have to pay to get that vehicle (if it is a motor vehicle) inspected. (Which is really a tax.) Then we have to pay to register it again which is yet another tax. Then, for the privilege of owning said vehicle (or property), we get to pay yet another tax with the money that the federal and state governments have already taxed labeled "Personal Property Tax". I know you get my point. Just had to vent. Thanks again for leading in this effort!

Just got done with my first visit at a Missouri DMV. I've lived here for 3 months, and if this is a sign of things to come I'm selling my house. Get with the times Missouri state legislators!

Today is independence day, our freedom from the British Crown. It seems to me that King George was less of a tyrant then the governor and state legistrators of Missouri. The tea tax was nothing compared to the Missouri personal property tax.
