Was visiting and spending money in kingston in March and was amazed at how run the facilities to be used by the clubs at Kingston beach were. A facility that encourages community and youth activities as proposed would have great benefit

As long as it's not near the dog beach, can't take little kids to that end of the beach to play anymore because of the dogs and toileting!!

New toilets are needed in this area. There is new development occurring in Kingston and the beach toilets could certainly could do with a badly needed upgrade.
I often go to Kingston beach, especially in summer as I have family and friends who live in the area.

As a resident of Kingston Beach for 50 years I strongly suport new toilet block and change rooms. Families, life savers and tourists deserve a clean, safe and modern facility. Current building totally embarrassing for town size of Kingborough. Come on Council act professionally and in community best interests.

These facilities are well overdue for an upgrade. The public deserves better facilities anywhere but especially in a popular area. I'm not a Kingborough resident but a former Hobartian who plans to live there again and who visits the area about 6 times a year.

As a resident of Kingston Beach this development must go ahead if we are not going to be left behind. Our beach area is seriously under developed and is not attractive for people to visit as there are just not the facilities available. Let's be a vibrant and progressive area, that people want to come to for pleasure and for business, not static and behind the times!

I fully support this project proceeding and cannot understand why (in principle) it wouldn’t be embraced by the Kingborough Council.
When looking at the project, the myriad of benefits it promises far exceed the problems raised by those opposing it.
Look at the opportunities it offers for our children and teenagers through the Nippers and junior surf life saving programs. It will ensure our beach is safe for locals and tourists alike for summer and will also provide a facility that supports the community through providing a permanent base for the Kingston Beach Surf Lifesaving Club. The club and its members inject a massive benefit to beachgoers and tourists in the area through first-aid, training, supporting local children and youth training / competition. What could possibly be better than having a surf lifesaving club at your local beach? With thousands of people flocking to the beach every summer (one of southern tasmania’s most popular beaches!), surely the council has every beach-goers interests at heart?
These developments are embraced by the community in every other state in Australia and I fail to see why it can’t get off the ground here. It’s time the Kingborough Council grew up and stopped having its strings pulled by a small number of influential NIMBYs who seek to oppose all development around Kingston beach.
The beach is EVERYBODY's to use and surely the improved amenities are a benefit to all, not to mention the opportunity to remove the embarrassing and smelly eyesore that is the current toilet block.
Let’s make it happen Kingborough Council!
Make the beach great again - for our current and future generations of ratepayers!
