we got the news today that mr stanley is officially our new principal. i am so proud of this community for showing up and making the right choice for our bulldogs. lets keep that same energy now as we start this new chapter for the school.

PETITION TO FORMALLY APPOINT HERBERT STANLEY AS HEAD PRINCIPAL OF ALBUQUERQUE HIGH SCHOOL FOR THE UPCOMING 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR
We, the undersigned, are concerned Albuquerque High School Bulldog community members who urge our Albuquerque Public School leaders to appoint Mr. Herbert Stanley to lead our school community. Mr. Stanley is an AHS Graduate who has served on the AHS Faculty for 34 years, which includes 18 years as an AHS Assistant Principal, 16 years as an AHS Coach, and 11 years as the AHS Head Wrestling Coach. He has served 38 years as an APS educator.
He will:
- Implement exceedingly high standards of academic success for all students
- Increase our high school Graduation rate to the national achievement standards
- Encourage higher education and career readiness for our student body
- Rebuild Trusting Relationships within our student body, staff and alumni
- Restore the Bulldog tradition, culture and pride that began in 1879

Coach Stanley, as he is known by many, is the epitome of AHS. As my football, wrestling and most importantly life coach, Mr. Stanley is the beacon that all Bulldogs, past, present and future can look to. - E. Mireles
Mr. Stanley was a school mate of my siblings in the 70’s a teacher and coach while I attended AHS in the mid 80’s. He was assistant principal there when my 3 children attended from 2011-2016. I can’t think of anyone more responsible respected or deserving of the position of Principle of AHS!
Mr. Stanley would do great things as Principal. He has always been such a great leader, especially during my time at AHS (Class of 2012) and during my sister's time (Class of 2017). He is also someone that would be great for when my brother starts high school next year!
Mr. Stanley is an asset to Albuquerque High School, he’s been there a long time. I graduated 20 years ago, my son is graduating this year and my daughter is a sophomore. I feel he deserves to continue this Bulldog Legacy!
Mr. Stanley is the pinnacle of what AHS stands for. Tradition, strength and resilience. Hevis absolutely the man for the job, being alumni himself, I believe he can bring back the much needed spirit and pride of Bulldog City!
He was one of my mentors as an upperclassman all through high school he was an incredible athlete and a great leader
Mr. Stanley he is a good person to me he knows his stuff inside in out he cares about his students he was specal education Teacher in Albuquerque high school I know him he is so specal to us he is a proud bulldog like us please select him as your new principal for 2018 and2019 he is a great person
