With prominent businesses, state and city agencies, over 100 public and private schools, and 9 colleges/universities, there is no reason why the Capital City of South Carolina should not have an Apple Store. At present, the closet stores are in Charleston, Augusta, and Charlotte. Because a large part of Columbia's economy depends and thrives on the 60,000 college students who live in the city, the Mayor's Collegiate Engagement Council is launching a public campaign to bring an Apple Store to Columbia.

We are gaining real momentum but we need to hit the hundred signature mark immediately to show the council we are serious. Post this link on Facebook right now and text three friends who live in Columbia to ask them to sign. This is the moment to force the city to notice our demand for an Apple Store.

Why do you give cities with far far less than 60K college students Apple stores and not Columbia, South Carolina? Columbia is in the very middle of the fastest growing state in USA. Please put a retail store in this vibrant, growing beautiful state capitol city to serve people like me who are long time Spple product users. Thank you!

This would be very helpful for the people like me without a car but use Apple products for school

As an Apple consumer & customer (Mac, phones, iPads) as well as an educator (college) I highly recommend an Apple Store be added to our local economy. With the state’s flagship University, and at least 5 other colleges in the metro area, there is a need for a local Apple Store.

I have needed to go to a physical Apple Store 3x in the last 6 months - I assure you the commercial viability exists here in Columbia!

I’m a long time Apple customer and it’s a shame I have to drive to a different city to shop and have the Apple Store experience. Columbia’s metro is 1 million and growing rapidly, an Apple Store will do well here and better serve customers.

Always going to Charlotte for Apple because I like to go to the store over online and then all the other businesses local and National get my money too which is unfortunate for such a HUGE college capital to not have an Apple Store in Columbia, SC. I’m from NYC/LI and I need more from Cola. Been here since 2008 and not leaving.

I am a long term Apple customer and native of Columbia. The city of Columbia is dynamic and growing city with distinct districts like bull street and also the states flagship university . There are HBCU and technical colleges as well. Density in downtown districts are all deliberately increasing. The city has a world class zoo and also great rivers and lakes for outdoor recreation. The city has many things to attract young people by not a Apple store. Columbia would be a great market for you to enter! Thank you
