iTunes Home Sharing music is the main feature of my personal midia center, The removal of it is not only a step back but it force me (and others) to choose other app than iTunes to be the center entertainment.

We keep one master library in our home and stream it to other areas of our home via wifi. This is simple and logical. We should NOT have to "rent" another service just from Apple just to listen to content we have already purchased… from Apple.
This would be like a car company waiting until customers had already bought their cars before telling them that they had to rent the keys on a month-to-month basis.

So far I was always very keen on Apple products, mostly because of their reliability. But now.. what a stupid idea is coming out of Cupertino!
Without being aware what I am doing, I've done the up date alreday and I lost the sharing function on my iPad.
I still have a valid service contract with Apple. Based on this contract I will fight for it that they reinstall the old version of the operating system in my iPad, otherwise I want the money back I've paid for this useless service contract and a mobile device which does not serve the purpose for which I originally bought it for.

I paid thousands to get Airplay speaker + iPad to play my shared iTunes library, now I can't use it because you arbitrarily decided we don't need the Home Sharing function for music anymore. This is unacceptable, bring it back! It's the only reason I bought the iPad.

It is very disappointing to see this feature removed. Unfortunately this is the sort of thing that drives folks to other platforms. My wife and daughter have already switched to Andriod, my older son is on the fence and my youngest son (iPod only user) does not have a choice yet. Apple, please restore my faith in the brand and bring back Home Sharing for iTunes music.

One of the reasons I purchased an iPad was to listen to my cd's stored in iTunes on my pc via home sharing over a Bluetooth speaker anywhere in my home. This option is now gone. I am very disappointed with the overhyped Apple and will be reluctant to purchase any of their hardware again!!!!

I'm so annoyed by the removal of Home Sharing. I bought an iPad specifically for this purpose only 2 months and this update has rendered my iPad useless. Will I get a full refund? I doubt it very much.
This decision stinks and if I'm being honest it would seem that Apple are trying to force this 'paid for' service upon people by taking away the feature. Having been a loyal Apple user for a number of years, and having spent over £9000 on Apple products along the way, I am inclined to go back to, dare I say, Windows. This is how strongly I feel about this situation.

As a Mac owner/advocate for the past 27 years, and having 6 Macs/2 iPhones in our current setup, we're running out of patience with Apple. Stop breaking things, start following your own HUI guidelines, and refocus on making the excellent products that used to inspire our loyalty. The omission of Home Sharing in iOS 8.4 is the straw that is close to breaking this camel's back. We have iTunes match, and it does not compare to Home Sharing for streaming locally. In fact iTunes Match is very poor for streaming, and we have found it frustrating and glitchy.
