We are writing you today to express our shock and dismay regarding the inflated cost of this school year's (17/18) Health Plan. Crucial "dependant" costs and information were withheld from the students prior to the Health Plan Referendum last school year (16/17). The "dependant" costs were not clearly and transparently revealed to the students, and therefore we were not provided with "informed consent". This being said, we the students, are petitioning for the removal of the "new" plan (17/18), and proposing to revert to the old plan (16/17). We the students feel that the cost of adding depends is unaffordable and unattainable with the new Health Plan. We are students... This extravagant plan does not suit the needs of your students, and as such we are petitioning for a fair and informed re-referendum and vote.

In addition to the student cost of $225:
One dependent: $344.07
($225 + $344.07 = $569.07)
Two dependants: $556.77
($225 + $556.77 = $781.77)
Three dependants: $778.34
($225 + $778.34 = $1003.34)
Family: $999.90
($225 + $999.90 =$1224.90)

I find that fee very expensive from previous years. This should be an option for us, not mandatory, regardless if we have addictional coverage or not. It's appreciated but the cost is too much.
Students should be able to opt out even if they don't have coverage.
The cost of the health plan this year borders on extortion.
The dependent costs are exorbitant.
Please revert to the old plan; this is way too expensive for some of us

How are we supposed to afford this on a student budget? The dependent costs are absolutely insane and were never made clear to us before the vote happened.
