I have been reading through the comments and it is clear that many people feel just as insulted as I do by those words. We call this place home and we deserve better than being a punchline for a national audience. I am currently reaching out to local representatives to see how we can keep this conversation moving forward.

Seeing so many of you join this effort confirms that our town deserves more respect than it received on national television. This momentum proves that we will not stay silent when our community is insulted by those who do not understand our worth.

Yeah he should apologize to the citizens of Forrest City, Arkansas for his very offensive comments. It is not their fault that he got into trouble and sent there. That was his own fault, but he is entitled to his opinion. But he did not have to be offensive with it.
Forrest City is my home and people here are good folks. He was the one breaking the law not us so he has no right to call our town anything. Very disrespectful.
I stand on bidness. Apologize.

Yeah every one has a right to their opinion, but you have to put it into the right context. I would especially say this to T.I. or anyone If they do not want to offend anybody. You basically have to choose your words wisely. He should think about what he said that mean, I think that he was wrong to offend the very great citizens of Forrest City, Arkansas.
