This is a public demand for the Athens Mayor Kelly Girtz and Police chief Cleveland Lee Spruill Sr. for a public address of apology to the May 31, 2020 protestors for allowing harm and use of excessive force by the Athens Clarke Police Department, national guard, and SWAT. We demand a direct formal address via speech and a written letter of apology to the protestors and citizens of Athens-Clarke County.
